How an Events Photoshoot with me works
I'll guide you through the process and work with you to create images that feel personal to you. I'm based in Hertford, but work across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
Initial Enquiry
After your initial enquiry, I'll get in touch for a chat via phone, email or social media. I'll start by asking about your event, what you'd like me to capture and how you plan to use the photographs.
This is an opportunity to share your vision, bounce ideas around and discuss what you'd like to achieve from the photoshoot. Whether you already have a clear concept in mind or you're looking for some creative direction, we'll work together to develop the shoot.
Planning
Whether you're a band looking for professional live event photography and social media content, celebrating an important milestone such as a birthday or private event or looking for a photographer to capture your sports team, we'll discuss exactly what you need from the shoot.
We'll talk through the type of event, the atmosphere you're hoping to capture and any important moments, people or activities you'd particularly like photographed. If you're looking for social media or promotional content, we can also discuss the types of images that would work best for your website, Instagram or other marketing channels.
Booking
Once we've discussed your ideas and agreed on the details, a 10% deposit will be required to secure your event date, with the remaining balance handled after our photoshoot.
On the Day
I aim to arrive at least 15 minutes before the event, to explore the location and make sure everything is ready before I begin. I'll take some time to introduce myself if possible and talk through the plan before I start shooting.
My approach to event photography is natural and documentary-style, allowing me to capture genuine moments, interactions and the atmosphere of your event without constantly interrupting what's happening.

Editing
At the end of the photoshoot, I'll let you know the approximate editing and delivery timescale for your images and confirm your preferred method of receiving your final photographs.
I'll keep you updated during the editing process before delivering your final photographs through your preferred method, such as WeTransfer or a private online gallery.

What is your Photography style?
I specialise in documentary-style event photography, focusing on authentic, candid moments as they happen naturally. My goal is to capture the raw energy, passion, and atmosphere of your event while staying out of the way, leaving you completely free to focus on your performance, game, or showcase.
What locations do you shoot?
I cover locations across London, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding local areas.
Who do you work with?
I cover a wide range of live events, including live music acts and bands, local and semi-professional sports teams (like Ware FC and Hertford Runners), and stage performances at local venues such as The Beam in Hertford.
When will I get my photos?
Because live events yield a high volume of images, turnaround times depend on the length and scale of the event. However, I aim to deliver your full, edited gallery within 5 days via a private Google Album or WeTransfer link. If you need a few fast turnaround sneak-peeks for immediate press or social media release, just let me know!
What equipment do you bring?
I use a Canon R7 camera paired with a versatile collection of pro lenses tailored to the scale and lighting of your venue. Importantly, I do not use intrusive flash photography during live performances or sports—I rely on fast, specialized lenses to capture crisp images without distracting you or your audience during key moments.
